Divorce is a legal process but it’s also a risk-management event. As an advisor, you’re often the first professional to hear, “We’re having trouble,” long before anything is filed. In a stressful climate, clients often have outdated documents that quietly give someone else enormous authority over their money or medical decisions. In this presentation, we will discuss the biggest estate-planning intersections that matter in real life and a simple workflow to keep clients protected.

Agenda:

  • 8:00 am - Breakfast Buffet
  • 8:30 pm - Presentation with Dawn Schluter, JD, LLM - "Divorce & Estate Planning: What Financial Planners Should Watch For (and How to Coordinate Accordingly)"
  • 9:30 am - Conclusion

Cost to attend: $40 per person
